Allocate Federal Adjustments

I do not know how o fill in the page with Allocate Federal Adjustments to Income. I moved from Nassau county to NYC in May. It states that my total federal adjustments must equal $2500. I do not know how to calculate this or what the description is supposed to be.

If you're in your New York State Return, normally you are asked to Allocate Federal Adjustments to Income for items that are not taxable in New York (such as interest you received while living in another state) or to add items that are not taxable in your Federal return, but are taxable in NY.

You may have to go through all the topics carefully to see which apply to you. These usually apply to time you lived in NY State, as opposed to another state.
