Any insight on this year's NYS tax return?

I filed an I-203 (nonresident) form this year, just like I've done for the past 10 years or so. It's been filed on the 27th January. Usually, my return would get approved within 10-14 days, but this year it still says "We have received your return and it is being processed." Does anyone have any insight on this year's returns? I know, we are still really early in the year, but I'm just curious about the processing difference this year.

Only the state knows what they are doing with your return. This seems like quite a while to still be processing without an issue. I recommend getting more information from the state. I suggest you log into your NY account where you can respond to notices and other issues.
