Are there issues with Turbotax 2021 efiling Like last year problems with efiling ?

Dear Turbotax,

Is Turbotax having issues like it did last year (where Fed and California state were NOT being efiled appropriately and our returns needed to be rejected by Turbotax and then we needed to e-file again) ? Just wondering if we will run into those same problems this year. Please let me know.

Last year, there were many changes in the tax forms due to relief measures going into effect after the end of the tax year. This was highly unusual and the IRS had to go back and revise many forms. This meant the states had to revise their forms, which were based on the IRS forms and then TurboTax software needed to be updated with all of them.

It is still early in the filing season. The IRS just began accepting e-files on January 24th and they are still finalizing many forms, as is the California Franchise Board. The due date for filing and payment will be April 18th, this year. It is totally OK to wait a little bit and let all the processes involved have a little time before you file.
