Question

Arizona state question. I made a $400 school tax credit donation and it is not showing in my returns. Any ideas?

The most likely reason is that the school donation tax credit is non-refundable.  Once your AZ tax is reduced to zero no more non-refundable credits will be added.  You can click back through the AZ interview to confirm your entries on the AZ School Tax page.   

 

The maximum credit is $400 for married filing joint taxpayers (200 for an individual).  Any credit you were eligible for that was limited by your AZ tax bill will be carried over to next year.
