Question

As a resident of SC and working in GA for the full year, how should I allocate or reallocate the W2 wages if they have been split between states for the year?

You need to file Resident SC return and non-resident GA return. Both states will tax your w-2 income since you were resident of SC and you worked in GA. However, you can claim on SC return credit for taxes paid to GA to avoid double taxation.

For accurate calculation, prepare non-resident return first.

How do I file a nonresident state return?
