AZ Form 140PTC

I am having a problem with this form. I file Federal & state as joint. However, on form 140PTC, line 11 asks a question as to whether "you lived alone" or "lived with your spouse, or one or more other persons". When I select "live alone", (spouse is in nursing care) I receive an error message when TurboTax checks for AZ statement errors.  The system message indicates that I must remove the spouse's income from Part 1, column 2.  The dividends and income received amount (line B) is hardcoded and I am unable to adjust. Is this a system error or am I completing this form incorrectly?

Your spouse is in nursing care. It sounds like, though, your spouse still part of your tax household. That is, you include any of your spouse's income and all of your spouse's deductions on your single 1040 return, right?

If so, I would suggest that you answer that question on living alone as "no".

I have looked and I don't see anything in the instructions that address this situation. However, on the theory that a dependent away at college is still considered to be living at home (even if they are away 9 months a year), I am not sure that physical proximity was intended here.

There are multiple references to nursing homes in the instructions, but all of them assume that YOU are living in the nursing home, not that you live in your own home but your spouse lives in a nursing home.
