Question

AZ resident, military stationed CO. Entered all info as AZ NR, it said I owe $3.4K even though none of my pay was taxed by AZ. How do I delete a state return?

To delete a state tax return, follow these directions.

  • Down the left side the screen, click on State.
  • In the center of the screen, click on Your State Returns.
  • Under Status of your state returns, click Delete to the right of the state that you want to delete.

To delete a state tax return, follow these directions.

You are full-time military stationed in CO?  If AZ is your military state of residence, you may file a Resident AZ tax return.

Hi James, thank you for the assist. One follow up, it only gives me the option to Edit or Start Over.

Not all the state screens are exactly alike.

At the screen Status of your state returns, Are you able to Edit to the right of Arizona?

Then to the right of General Info, click Edit.

This screen should allow you to Change Residency to Full-Year Resident.
