On my W2 I have an mna code for box 14. I'm in the ny army national guard and I was paid state active duty money by nys for 2019. I believe that I'm possibly entitled to an additional New York State subtraction. In terms of subtracting this pay from my total income for 2019. How would I go about doing this? Does it require a special tax treatment code?

BOX 14 on your W-2 is to provide information.  It is a notepad for your employer.  Any adjustments to income will appear elsewhere on your W-2

Provided you checked the box under PERSONAL INFO that you were in the military. The program will ask all the necessary military-related interview questions to ensure you get any adjustments to income.
