Question

Box 15 wants me to put a state my state TN but can't choose Tn.

First, I assume that you are talking about a W-2.

 

Second, do you have anything in boxes 16 and 17? If you don't have anything in 16 and 17, just leave 15 blank in TurboTax. The software that some companies use to print W-2s include the state prefix even when it is unnecessary (as it is for Tennessee, which doesn't have a state personal income tax).
