Business Electronic Filing Not Done

Turbotax Business will not electronically file my 2023 business tax return. When I purchased the Business product, TurboTax said it would file electronically. When filing the federal return, it gave no notice that it was not filing the State return, and gave no explanation as to why it wasn't. What is the point in having TurboTax if I have to print 50 pages and mail?

It depends.

There are still some states where the forms are being updated in TurboTax and may not be ready for filing yet.

I recommend reviewing this link so you can look up your specific state and entity type. This will let you know which forms are ready to be filed and if not yet ready, the anticipated release date.

If your forms are showing as available, try updating your software with these instructions and try filing again.

TurboTax advertises that it files business returns electronically, but apparently really only dose that in a handful of state. It mispresents and lies about its software. What a disappointment.
