Calif renters tax credit

There seems to be a discripency in Calif. renters tax credit questions. Step by step is asking if rent was paid during 2021 but the printed forms refer to 2019. which is correct?

    Is your TurboTax up to date? The Nonrefundable Renter’s Credit Qualification Record should say 2021.

    You can tap Online in the top left then Check for Updates.
