California SDI

I broke my ankle in May and was out of work for 3 months at this time I received SDI. I am understanding that this is not taxable income but am feeling confused if I need to report it on my taxes. I do not see an option in turbo taxes format to enter a 1099G for SDI, however I have not yet received one.

SDI benefits are taxable only if paid as a substitute for unemployment insurance (UI) benefits. This could occur if you were receiving UI benefits and then became disabled.

You will only get a Form 1099-G if all or part of your SDI benefits are taxable.
