Can anyone know if the government is refunding the taxes we had taken out of UI? It is not showing me a return tax for all that I paid ?

The withholding might be covering some other taxes you owe like the self employment tax.

Did you get the 10,200 Unemployment exemption? Or did you file before it was updated? If you have unemployment you can exclude up to 10,200 if your income is under $150,000. The exclusion will be on Schedule 1 Line 8 as a negative number. Your unemployment compensation will be on Line 7 of Schedule 1. The result flows to Form 1040 Line 8.

You will get credit for the tax withholding on 1040 line 25b.
