Tried to efile both Fed and NY state Trust returns simultaneously but Turbo Tax says I can’t efile my NYS Trust return using Turbo Tax because my return has withholding and that I must mail them in. If so, can I still efile my Trust return for Federal? If so, what are the steps to do this separately?

Sometimes returns can't be efiled because it might have a form that is not available for efiling. State and federal forms are released on different dates. You can visit the following TurboTax help article to see if any of your forms are currently unavailable.
If all your forms are available and you can check some of our common solutions. If your tax return can't be e-filed for some reason, TurboTax will let you know.
If you are unable to e-file the state return you can efile the federal only and mail the state return. The program will guide you as you finish the return and will have instructions for what documents need to be sent and where.
