Can i enter the IT-255 information

Yes. To receive the Solar Energy System Equipment Credit on Form IT-255, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Open your New York state return.
  2. Continue through the pages until you get to the page, Take a look at New York credits and taxes.
  3. Click start next to Installed Solar Energy Equipment in 2023. 
  4. Enter your solar equipment information and continue through your return.
