Question

Can I file 1 state and Federal now and 2 other states later if my husband worked in 3 states?

I would not recommend doing so because you will miss out on any credit for out of state taxes paid on your resident state return. If the other two states allow it he may be able to file as married filing separately on the other two state returns. Please view this TurboTax FAQ for instructions on doing so.
