Question

Can I pick the option that says I was a full time student when I’m part time? It’s one of the options that says the state I lived in 2023.

No.  If you were a part time student, then you would need to say you are a part time student.

Which state is this for?  Is it for an education credit or for another credit?  Some credits are ONLY for full time students, which means if you are not full time and you would say you are, then you would be claiming a credit you are not eligible for.

The IRS definition of "full-time student" is that you must have been a full-time student by your school's own criteria for at least 5 separate months of the tax year.   There is no "part-time student" classification.
