Question

Can someone help? I live in KS, but worked all last year in MO. Shows full years income in both states box 16, very little paid to KS, which leaves me with tax due in KS?

100% of my income was earned in MO. But both KS and MO show my full years income in box 16

You will file a MO nonresident tax return to report the income.  You will also file a KS resident tax return and report the income, but you will get a credit for the tax you paid to MO so you will not be taxed twice.

Be sure to prepare the nonresident return first, then look for the credit for taxes paid to another state in the KS section of TurboTax.
