Cannot E-file Detroit City Taxes

My wife and I are filing jointly and while we don't live in Detroit and I don't work there, my wife works hybridly for a company in Detroit and therefore gets the city tax held. When I was trying to e-file her city tax return in TurboxTax, the software told me "The Detroit Return for her must be mailed to the Michigan Department of Treasury". Did I do anything wrong? If not why it could not be e-filed? Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.

No, you did not do anything wrong. TurboTax does not support electronic filing for Detroit City Taxes. You will have to print and mail the Detroit City Tax Return.
