Cannot Open State Forms

I installed 2019 Deluxe for Windows CD/Download. It is able to prepare my federal return but cannot open CA state forms. On Your State Return screen, I click on Start next to California (only state), program begins "Let's download and install your states", then reports "Your software is up to date", and I'm back to Your State Return screen, NO state forms. My software is up-to-date and CA forms are supposed to be available by now.

I've been using Turbotax download products for decades, never had this problem. Why can't I open state forms? Thanks.

I found the problem. I move the TTax2019 installation from E: to C: drive and the TTax installer left my state forms on the E: drive. Somehow, TTax thinks I already have the state forms so wouldn't download them again, but it couldn't find them on C: to prepare my CA return. It was a TTax installer problem.

I have the exact same problem for IN....I will not go thru a bunch of steps...make the program work!!

It did when I installed Basic... which brings me to another issue. I bought Basic for some simple family returns, and then got Deluxe for involved family tax returns.

Same problem here...but with 2019 Permier verson and Nebraska state forms.

I've tried TT Repair, Remove and re-install, manually deleting the 2019 files and re-install, going through my Intuit login to download the State forms. Everything I try eventually loops back to pop-up windows that say "Getting your State" and then "Your software is up to date."

Copying files didn't work when TT updated state forms later. After wasting much time on the problem, I finally gave up and reinstalled it back on the original installed drive (E:) in the exact folder, and I was able to e-file fed and state. Note: uninstall did NOT remove state forms from prior installation. I deleted state forms folders before reinstall.

I installed 2019 Premier for Windows CD/Download. It is able to prepare my federal return but cannot open MT state forms. On Your State Return screen, I click on Start next to Montana (only state), program begins "Let's download and install your states", then reports "Your software is up to date", and I'm back to Your State Return screen, NO state forms.
