Colorado Efile Still Pending

I filed the Colorado state tax return electronically 3 weeks ago but it is still pending. Colorado started accepting returns 10 Feb. Why is it still pending?

The processing time for each return could be delayed for various reasons. The Colorado website encourages filers to check daily for updates.

If the state requires additional information and will contact you by mail. The State may send a validation key letter which you will need to enter on their website to validate your refund.

Since the State of Colorado opened late for accepting returns, they have been quite backlogged in accepting them. Please be patient and allow the Agency to process the large number of returns that came thought to them all at the same time.

They are processing them in the order they were received. https://tax.colorado.gov/where-is-my-refund
