I was shocked when my Colorado Income Tax was larger than my Federal Income Tax. This had never happened. I traced it down to Colorado Form DR 0104US which lists purchases for which sales tax was not previously charged. My form showed $50,000. I have no idea how Turbo Tax entered that number on that form. I had no purchases for which sales tax was still due. When I entered $0.00 in the form then my Colorado INcome Tax was what it should have been. Is there a bug in the Turbo Tax software?

No, there is no bug in TurboTax. I must have been an inadvertent entry. I'm glad you were able to find it and correct it.

The final check should have noticed that the amount of money entered in form 104US was greater than my total income. It said that everything checked out.
