I am a Nurse that did a 3 month travel assignment to DC. My travel agency had me fill out a D-4 DC Withholding
Allowance Certificate. Do I still need to file for DC state taxes. Turbo Tax is recommending me fill out a nonresident form refund request but I don’t think I need to do that and now I can’t file my state taxes. Did I do something wrong? Thank you

No, since  your employer did not withhold taxes in DC and you filled out D-4A to , you would not need to file a DC return.  All of your income would be taxable to your home state.

Go back to your personal info section and change your answer where it asks if you earned any money in any other state.  Remove DC from the state that you earned money in. This will remove DC from your return all together.  If it does not, you can then click delete next to DC after clicking on States.
