Determining the state source of interest rate income

Hello,

I received interest rate from CDs and bonds invested (through 1099-INT). My wife also received some dividends through her workplace (through 1099-DIV). How do I determine the state this originated from?

I live in New Jersey but also filing taxes in New York and that's one of the questions I've been asked.

Many thanks

If you lived in New Jersey all year, then New Jersey will be the source for interest and dividend income.
