Question

Did Turbotax correct their Nebraska tax form so the parcel ID could be entered correctly

For the last two years the turbotax Nebraska state tax form had an error with the parcel ID that didn't allow the electronic entry of the proper parcel ID and the state tax form had to be mailed in instead of electronically filed.  Have they fixed that error this year?

What error are you receiving? This should not be an issue.

For the last two years when entering my real estate property parcel ID to claim the Nebraska tax credit for property taxes paid for school districts, I was unable to enter the entire 13 digit parcel ID because the turbotax form only allowed 10 digits to be entered.  Each of the last two years during the final review of the Nebraska state return I was stopped and told there was an error with the parcel ID and it had to be changed.   Changing it to fit the turbotax form would have made it unacceptable to the Nebraska Department of Revenue, so I had to mail a physical return to the state.  I contacted turbotax both years and informed them of the error, but nothing has changed.  I just got off the phone with turbotax customer service and learned that it has not changed this year either, meaning I will be unable to electronically file my state return yet again.  For that reason, I will not be using turbotax now or in the future.

For Lancaster County, unless it is a commercial property, the last three digits are zero's, so you will leave off the last zero's.
