I lived in Tennessee all of 2024, one of my employers took out Indiana taxes early on in 2024 before I caught it and got it fixed.  The employer isn't registered in Indiana (no employer state ID).  What form do I need to fill out to file on these funds that were withheld for Indiana taxes?

In order to receive a refund from Indiana, you will prepare a non-resident tax return for Indiana (Form IT-40PNR).  You will report $0 source income to IN, and receive all of the tax withheld back as a refund.

Since your employer doesn't have a State ID, your return may get rejected and necessitate a paper-filing.  I suggest trying to use your employer's federal ID as a work around first.
