Different state with another license

I have 2 desktop licenses for deluxe w/ state and need to install a different state in each. The second license will not let me add the different state. I've signed into both with the same online account. I don't see how I can remove the second license from my account either.

Sorry I don’t think that will work. You should try to get a refund for 1 program and just buy the second state in the first program.

You are correct. The intuit server will link any license to the account when logged in during setup and not allow a different state to be downloaded. Final answer: if needed, create a different account to use a different state. Background info: in the past; state was more expensive than another full copy. Full copies used to be discounted better from big box stores or e-tailers. This year: state is cheaper.
