Do I need to file a CA tax form?I am retired & have been staying with my 91 y/o mother in CA as her care giver. Mail comes to CA . I have house & med insure in OH.

    If you are still a resident of Ohio and you are temporarily staying in California with your mother, then you do not need to file a California return. Under California law, a person who stays in the state for other than a temporary or transitory purpose is a legal resident, subject to California taxation.
