Do I need to file tax for the state where I went to Grad school?

I graduated in May, 2019 in PA, and started to work in August in WA. All my incomes are from WA, do I need to file state income tax in PA? I am a permanent resident in US.

No. If you did not have any income from PA, you would not have any filing requirements within Pennsylvania. You must have a total PA gross income of over $33 to have any filing requirements.

Washington state does not have a personal income tax.

I suspect that you only have W-2 income and the state listed in box 15 of the W-2 is Washington. If that is correct, you would be a Washington resident and not be liable for state taxes.

If you have income other than W-2 income or you have a different state than Washington in box 15 of a W-2, a variety of options are possible.
