Question

Do I need to get a corrected W2 if my address has changed? I lived in Florida all of 2024 but moved to Georgia in January and my employer used my new address.

No, there is no need to amend.  The address on the tax return and the address on the W-2 do not have to match.  People move all the time.

No, you need a corrected W-2 Form if everything else is correct. From the details you provided, your new address is on your W-2.

You only need to request a corrected W-2 if there's an error in boxes 1 through 20.

Okay thanks. All other information is correct, they just used my new address on the W2. I was concerned because it was a different state. I lived in Florida all of 2024 but my W2 has my Georgia address so I did not know if that mattered or would raise flags.

It won't raise any red flags.  Your federal tax won't change based on moving between those 2 states.  The only difference is that now you will need to start paying Georgia income taxes, but your first return for Georgia will be in 2025.
