Do I need to mail anything in for Colorado State EV tax credit?

    There are 2 different credits in CO for the EV.

    If you are claiming the Innovative Vehicle Credit, then you will need to send the following with your return. 
    You must submit the completed form DR 0617, along with copies of the vehicle registration and vehicle invoice, purchase agreement, or lease agreement with the income tax form (DR 0104, DR 0112, etc.) on which you are claiming the credit.

     

    There is a second credit that is a vehicle exchange credit.  This one is a credit you apply online at Vehicle Exchange Colorado to receive instead of applying with your taxes.  This is done PRIOR to you purchasing the vehicle.
