I owe about $17k federal tax but have about $6k calfironia state refund this year based on Turbotax, haven't filed anything yet. I would like to get my state refund first then pay for the federal due.
If I e-file both federal and state now and pay my federal due by mail or online later, would my state refund being processed as usual or it will wait for my federal tax due is paid?
