I’m just trying to figure out the 5% of my total income to enter for my double tax credit. The money I earned was in New Hampshire and I lived in Massachusetts. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There is no tax credit, unfortunately, for a Massachusetts resident who earned money in New Hampshire because the Granite State only taxes interest and dividends—not W-2 income.

MA residents must pay tax on income earned everywhere. Had you worked in a state that taxed wages, then there would be a tax credit.
