I've already filed my federal return and state return for Ohio. I've just acquired turbotax and did both returns on it. My state return is different from the one I filed. How do I submit this as an amended return? Turbotax would not allow me to efile it because my federal return is fine and I do not need to resubmit that one. So Turbotax thinks my federal return has not been filed even though it has been filed.

You can't e-file your amended Ohio return with TurboTax, anyway. See TurboTax's Help article Can I e-file my amended state return?.
