I have e-filed my Fed Return with acceptance. Balance owed is to be withdrawn from my bank account on 4/14/20. When attempting to e-file my Mi State return it wants to pay the Fed Return again with the money that is being returned to me from the state. It doesn't seem to recognize that the Fed return is being paid via bank account. How do I submit MI return noting that all funds should be returned to me.

There can be no offsetting of your state refund with your federal tax due. You may have misread the TurboTax message. TurboTax will give you your net refund (or tax due) if you have a tax due to Federal and a refund from State (or vice versa), but this is for your information only.

The full state refund will be sent to you.
