I already filed and my return is expected on 2/25 but is it possible to file a second state late

If your state return has already been accepted, you will need to file an amended state return in order to make changes to your original return. You can never file 2 tax returns to the same state for the same year.

If you need to file a return for a different state, yes, you can add a state return at any time after your first return has been accepted. When you sign in (after you have filed and returns accepted), scroll down the page and you will see Add a State listed under Things You Can Do Now.
