For Colorado state taxes, is the TABOR tax credit automatically included?

H & R Blocks software is giving me a larger state refund than Turbo Tax and I'm wondering if the Tabor tax credit not being in Turbo Tax might be the reason.

    It should be, but you need to make sure you answered the questions that verify if you qualified first.

     

    Here is how to do this in TurboTax Online: 

    1. Open TurboTax Online
    2. Select  Tax Home in the left pane
    3. On the  Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen, select the dropdown on the right side of the State Taxes box, then select Review/Edit
    4. Continue through the state screens. 
    5. On the Qualifying for the Colorado state sales tax refund page, select No, if that is accurate. ‌(You can't have been incarcerated in Colorado for 180 days or more during the tax year and qualify for TABOR.)
    6. Select  Yes on the Qualifying for the Colorado sales tax refund screen to indicate you will file your tax return on or before the extended due date of 10/15/25.
    7. If you qualify, the You're getting the Colorado sales tax refund! screen should generate.  Select Continue
