Question

For NJ state taxes, can anyone point me to a definition of "New Jersey source income"? I have issues with salary, self-employment and investment income.

If you're an NJ resident, ALL your income is taxable by NJ.

 

If you're a non-resident of NJ, NJ can tax your NJ-source income.  NJ Statute 54A:5-8 defines NJ-source income.  Here's a link to that statute;
