Getting error message in downloading the free State (CA) 2023

I downloaded the Federal and everything works but in downloading the free state (CA) for 2023 tax year, I am getting a message that "Error Downloading your TurboTax State. It could not be downloaded and please try later". I have singed off and back on as I saw in similar post from two years ago and by now I am sure the CA state module should be ready and operational in TurboTax Premier. Anyone else run into this? Help please!!

Try closing TurboTax, clear your Cache and Cookies, and reopen TurboTax. Make sure you have ran all updates.

Nope. did not work. I had seen that on prior issues and my entire set up is up to date. When I first installed the software first week in January, I called support and they told me the CA module may not have been ready. But, now it is filing time and it should be ready. So, I am not sure initial explanation was correct by Intuit Support.

Any ideas everyone? Appreciate the effort!

Here's a fix you can try. If not successful, Contact TurboTax Support for a new download.

Download the TTStateCleanup.zip file and save it to your desktop or other easy-to-find location
Double-click to open the zip folder
Extract the contents of the folder to your desktop and open the extracted folder
Right-click the downloaded file (TTCleanStates.exe) and select Run as Administrator
Select your version (Personal or Business)
Select your state from the dropdown menu and choose Remove (if you're having problems with multiple states, choose Remove all States)
Once the tool finishes removing the state return(s), close it and reopen TurboTax
Follow the prompts to update TurboTax at the prompt. It should start downloading your state
- If it doesn't, click the State Taxes tab and download it from there
