Grand Rapids (Michigan) City tax shows employer entry for "Dependent Care Benefits"

The Grand Rapids city tax form in turbo tax premier is pulling in an employer entry for "Dependent care benefits" and asks me to enter employer ID and hints that I should have a w-2 from this "employer." The wages are listed for the amount of tax benefit I received from my dependent care data this year - so turbo tax must be pulling that in from somewhere. I can't figure out how to delete this "employer" to complete my Grand Rapids city taxes.

I think what is going on here is that you have dependent care benefits listed on your W-2 form listed in box 10. Those benefits can be taxable, but normally just if you don't use them for qualifying dependent care expenses.

I can't see your city tax return, so I can't determine if the benefits are listed on it and if they are showing as taxable. I would suggest you enter the employer ID from the W-2 reporting the dependent care benefits and print out the city tax return before you submit it and call in to a TurboTax agent if you think it is not being processed correctly on the city tax return.
