I found this topic "have a question on my Ohio State Taxes about Military Retirement and Civil Service Pension Income" in the topic search. HOWEVER, it talks about one person with Civil Service Pension and Military Retirement.  My question is slightly different! I'm retired from the reserve 24 years with 6 years active duty and 24 years in Civil Service including the 6 years active duty (collecting 2 pensions).  My wife is retired from Civil Service 20 years with 4 years active duty (collecting a single pension).

We are filing jointly.

How do I fill out the section of Ohio State Taxes when both can claim the active duty deduction?

You would put your military retirement pension in the Military Retirement box.  In the civil service boxes combine the requested items.  Total amounts of Civil Service Pensions.  Total years in the active military that is part of your civil service pensions (10).  Total years in civil service (44).
