Question

Have filed state return twice and used resolve, but issue still occurs. Issue is "Your Principal Residence Information" related, but I can find no such page. Where is it?

Your Principal Residence information would be in the Personal Information section which is the first tab to the far left of the site when you initially log on.

I've gone into the personal information area that you recommended and have no way to perform the action as required. State requires me to update the county information, and the county is not listed in this area. Instead it is autofilled by the program. Any work arounds for this?

Depending on the state, the county may be listed in the state section. Each state has different peculiarities, one wants it capitalized, another wants a number, and so on.

The IRS does not open until February 12. The IRS and states work on forms from most common to least common. All busy working and updating now. Please check Forms Availability for your method of tax preparation to ensure what you want is even available. You may need to just wait until the IRS opens. Some states will not accept a filing until the IRS has accepted the federal return.
