How can I claim the 1200 in local taxes I paid to IN. Where I work. I live in MI and paid 3000 in MI state tax?

If the IN tax was withheld from your paychecks and reported on a W-2, the  W-2 entry will result in that paid flowing to Schedule A (if you itemize).  It will also flow through to your Indiana non-resident state tax return.  If you need to report tax paid but not withheld from a pay check, while logged in and working in your return, type "Tax Paid" into Search.  Then click on "Jump to Tax Paid".  On the next screen, select the type of tax you paid, click on "Start" and the program will guide you through the entry process.
