Question

How can I file my tax return if they won't let me get past the state tax section? TN doesn't have a state tax and everyone else has been able to file just fine without it

I'm not sure where you're stuck but you are correct. Tennessee has no state tax requirement. So if TurboTax started a state return because you clicked the wrong button then just delete it and move on.

If you can't get it deleted then you are probably better off having someone walk through the return with you to look at your entries so I recommend getting live expert help.
