How do I apply the SC Exceptional Needs Child Credit on my return?

As you go through the SC tax return, look for the screen titled, Take a look at South Carolina credits and taxes, or from the main SC menu to go over your taxes again, click Edit beside Credits and Taxes.  Then follow these steps:

1. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Start or Revisit beside Other credits > South Carolina Other Non-refundable Credits.
2. Check the box beside None of the Above on the first page, then click Continue.
3. Check the box beside Exceptional Needs Child Credit, then click Continue.
4. Enter your information on the next screen to claim the credit.
