How do I change my state tax return from mail to efile?

I saw there is a way that you can do this on the online version, but I have the desktop version. I played around with it trying to make it work, I even bought the state that is needed, but I can't find a way to change it to efile.

Did you efile the federal return and was it Accepted? You can only efile state if federal was accepted. Just go through the FILE tab again. But first double check the federal status.

Try this, You first need to update your program with the federal efile status. Go up to FILE - Electronic Filing - Check Electronic Filing Status. Then save your return, go to FILE - SAVE. Then close your return and reopen it and go though the File TAB again to file state.
