Question

How do I change the total tx rate for my state and local of 8.0 % instead of just the state of 6.25%? Every time I charge the total to 8.0 it kicks back to 6.25

Many times this is caused by an overlap of sales tax periods when entering different states/localities with different rates. This can be resolved by deleting all the sales tax deduction entries and then re-entering the data. 

 

In the "Sales Tax" topic delete all the lines for the states you have entered. 

 

Re-enter each state and period being sure not to overlap periods of different tax rates.
