An answer in the community: "Sometimes changes made to your federal return won't transfer if you override info in your state return. If this happens, delete your state return and start over."

How do I delete the state tax form and start it over?

You can delete your state return by following these instructions.

Note: If you've already paid your TurboTax state fees or registered your free version with your state return attached, you can't delete your state return.

Sign in and open a section of your return.
From the menu, select State and then select Continue on the Let's get your state taxes done right screen.
On the Status of your state returns screen, select Delete next to your state, then answer Yes.

If you’ve already paid your state fees, you can’t delete your return, but you can start over by selecting Start Over next to your state return on the Status of your state returns screen.
