How do I determine my percentage for my states taxes if I worked remotely for a new York state company in Wisconsin?

When you work from home for an out of state employer, you only pay taxes and file a state return for your resident state. You should only have Wisconsin tax withheld and only need to file a Wisconsin state return. If this is not the case, then you will need to file a nonresident state return for the state of New York and a resident return for the state of Wisconsin. Please view the TurboTax FAQ for directions on filing a nonresident state return if needed.
