Question

How do I enter a claim for right of repayment credit on Michigan 1040 line 30?

In 2024, I repaid over $3K for income taxed in 2022 and 2023. MI1040 instructions state to add the credit to line 30. The line doesn't appear editable in turbo tax.

    It needs to be done in the desktop version so you can access Forms mode. It must be entered that way.  See How do I switch from TurboTax Online to the TurboTax software?

     

    You can enter the value on line 30. You may want to enter the IRC 1341 on Sch W to go along with that line.
